Life As Of Late: According to My iPhone (pt. 6)
Note: I'm recovering from an EPIC hump day which included an early morning work wake up call (oh the joys of being on call), subsequent maniac day, topped off by attending Game 5 of the playoffs - Let's GO Cardinals!
Short hair has been selected as an official Blog Ambassador for the Hot Chocolate 15/5k, touted as America's "Sweetest" Race since its inagural race through the streets of Chicago in 2008 and benefits the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).
Chocolate and a good cause? I'm in!
There are two race distances to choose from: 5k (3.1 miles), or 15k (9.3 miles), each race finishing at an fudge-cocoa-chocolate post race bash complete with --- CHOCOLATE. Duh.
The return to my baseline is slow, but this race gives me plenty of time to train, so I'm gonna complete my first 15k!

Party clothes |
A few weeks back the other "maids" and I hosted a fantastic Bachelorette Bash for our dear pal.
The plan: rent two hotel rooms downtown (for a slumber party + pre-gaming), dinner- here, and out on the town along Washington Avenue.
First, the pre-game.
Bartender! She had fun tunes, yummy cocktails and a "sexy" game to play before dinner.
Someone even made her a bouquet - "Suck for a buck". We keep it classy in the lou.
Obviously we made her dress up

Next up, feast.
It ain't a party till short hair orders a champagne flight
Bride + M.O.H. = shameless selfies
And pole dancing
Part of our wolf pack for the night |
It was a blast, the weather was just breezy enough to walk (totter in stillettos) everywhere, and there was no puking - that I remember
