Cookie Exchange, 2023

Each year, I find myself searching for holiday memories to make and can happily announce that over last holiday season we hosted our first cookie exchange with a new family and let me tell ya, core memory - unlocked.

We each backed two types of cookies (see below!), then baked a recipe new to both of us and with a nod to our - Checkerboard Cookies via Classic German Baking.

Forming the check board became quite comical as all four adults completely misunderstood the instructions whilst sipping on snow globe Mocktails we spotted on Instagram - I can confirm despite the measuring issue, the cookies turned out delicious.

And while we baked sugar cookies for the kids to decorate, they spent majority of their time creating and EPIC fort together.
