For his special day, O confidently requested “breakfast in bed” (specifically “room service”) a theme of Jurassic World (Meri Meri for, life) and a fire engine (Fagus is a new favorite toy brand, thanks KG for the rec!) as a gift.

COVID restrictions had eased “slightly” since his last birthday during complete lock-down (I see you, March 2020), so we were able to meet friends at a local playground for a scooter play-date with cupcakes.

His cake and cupcakes were a fail (for me) so I won’t share the recipe but(!) the homemade marshmallow icing was delicious.

Pro Tip: purchase/rent an air pump in lieu of blowing up 80 balloons individually (for hours).
