We celebrated Thanksgiving with our new friends the Garretts with a feast filled with traditional staples and dotted with family recipes that made our first holiday away feel like home.
Have you ever had Strawberry Salad? This was my first time and - I had four servings. Buttery pretzel, strawberries and cream. A, dream.
Determined to quell my fear of yeast recipes (a goal for lock-down), I made a batch of Parker House rolls that if made on the regular would pose a serious problem. SERIOUS. Mini pies, (1/2 were Hokkaido, the other 1/2 Sweet Potato) proved recipes that seem daunting are totally approachable, if I allot the proper amount of time (i.e. read the entire recipe BEFORE I start).
