Potty Training
On the evening of March 2, 2018, we began
Operation: Potty Training
Owen had been showing undeniable signs of readiness for a bit so we blocked out a weekend in the calendar and locked ourselves in the nursery with his little potty, pee pads (under the potty for near misses), cleaning supplies, musical book with his favorite characters and treat jar (filled with M-M's, which he'd never had and only received for going potty, to make it special) for the weekend using the Oh Crap potty training method as our guide.
While we were all a bit frazzled by the end long weekend (so.many.messes!) and even at times now, when we have setbacks and as we work toward more training milestones, I can strongly attest not changing a toddlers poppy diaper has been worth all the stress and gray hairs.
