What She Order, Creme Brulee

The sole dessert my husband is confident enough to prepare (on his own) is -- Creme Brulee (via The Pioneer Woman), a treat he declares "easy" to create, yet leaves me utterly horrified to even try.  

Sing it with me, "Opposites, attract." 

While we truly savor (the ingredient) vanilla bean, vanilla extract is cheaper and does the trick. I'm waiting impatiently to slide a bottle of vanilla bean paste into the Amazon cart, to complete the vanilla trifecta.
