Salted Caramel + Chocolate Cake
Dreams do come true.
I made this cake for three special ladies in my life for Mother's Day.
Everything about this cake, the from scratch made caramel to the frosting so decadent my fingers made numerous dips into the mixing bowl gave everyone a reason to indulge in a slice.
Pro Tip: Pay special care when preparing the caramel and follow the directions verbatim. Two tries in was a success, but my end product hadn't cooled long enough before I frosted. Hence the caramel river.
