Special Occasions

As I grow older wiser, I don't wait to savor things like I did as a kid. One to hoard, I'd save perfume, clothes, and the like, never using them because it looked so pretty in the package, vowing to use it for a "special day". Then life would inevitably keep going and I forget about the beautiful item. This year I've made a conscious effort to savor - everything. Be it a handwritten card, bath soaps, fancy trinkets, you name it. And each time I slip on said item I send gratitude to the gift giver, for their thoughtfulness to gift me when they didn't have to, because life's gifts are meant to be savored.

How do you make everyday a "special occasion"?
