Blend it up
It doesn't come as a shock that I have a deep, profound love for my Vitamix blender. Don't get me wrong, it was an investment - worth.every.penny. I got a "reconditioned" model which took a chunk ($100 bucks) off the price, plus, all the reconditioned blenders are given new parts (including a motor), the same cookbooks and goodies as the new models, and come with a 7 year warranty. Win. Win.
