Monday Musings

Here's hoping everyone had a fabulous weekend. Mine was pretty darn wonderful. There is nothing quite like spending quality time with family and friends, celebrating life's milestones and laughing till your sides hurt.
Sister love |
My middle sister (in the middle, ha) was in town so we finally had family photos taken since, Lord knows when. It goes without saying my mom was over the moon to have all her children in one place, add in the fact she gets to memorialize it, and homegirl was on cloud nine. Thankfully it was a beautiful day, and the park was the ideal setting. I cannot wait to see them.
A group of friends had dinner at the new restaurant in the Art Museum's newest wing, Panorama before heading to Art Hill for an outdoor movie.
Panorama, an elegant dining experience was both casual and fancy, without being stuffy. None of us we dressed us since the movie was outdoors and we were sitting on the lawn, but we were not under dressed either. If that makes sense. There was a wine collection with various by the glass and bottle selections, along with a full bar. Menu choices were ala carte, with a focus of local flavors, and presentation. Keeping with my 30 days Vegetarian, I had the Halibut. After bread service (which was warm and melt-in-your-mouth delightful) was an Amuse Bouche. Which immediately made me think of the Friends episode - and reminded me how not fancy I am. Nevertheless the entire dining experience was subperb, and I would definitely recommend it.
The movie, Roman Holiday was mentioned in a scene from my favorite movie. That was the extent of my knowledge. But it was fun, and the flick was entertaining. But then again picnic blankets and snacks make everything awesome.
Saturday am this pretty
lady came banging on my door at dawn and dragged me and the hounds out for some fresh air. Little did we know we'd encounter a scene from what we were convinced was a Lifetime movie. So obviously we had to get a closer look. Ok, she did, I am afraid of my shadow and stood back like a coward...
