To Garmin, or not to Garmin
Toying with the idea of
rationalizing this purchase
investing in a running watch GPS thing-a-ma-bob. While MapMyRun has been my faithful FREE running companion (via app on my Blackberry) since the beginning of time, it is becoming increasingly bulky to hold my phone whilst running - a.) it gets sweaty, b.) when it rains and you get stuck in said rain, your phone dies and you freak out.
Garmin just came out with a new watch - retailing $129.99. The reviews/inquiries/incessant questions to anyone that will listen thus far have been positive, it appears to be super easy to use, and connects online so you can store your workouts. Excuse my sticker shot but let's be honest, this watch won't give me rock hard abs, nor will it make me run faster. Ahhh, what should I do???
